Jeff’s real estate experience has grown organically over his 15-year career. Before forming his own company in 2013, Jeff spearheaded economic development efforts for The City of Troy, New York. In this position, Jeff spent years gaining experience in development from the municipality perspective.? The economic development department fostered millions in development projects, big and small, while Jeff gained invaluable experience and insight into the approvals process, RFP selections, State and Federal grant writing, and formed important relationships with local and state officials.

Before merging with Redburn Development, Jeff was the founder and CEO of Sequence Development, a boutique real estate development firm that completed mixed-use and historic rehabilitation projects, which he both owned and managed. Sequence has won numerous awards for historic restoration and neighborhood revitalization and Jeff was named the Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016 by the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce.?

During his tenure with Sequence, Jeff became an expert at navigating the historic tax credit process, and was extremely successful in procuring local, state and national grants for many of his projects. In the past 7 years, Sequence has written grants and received grant awards of more than $10 million.?

Prior to founding Sequence Development, Jeff was an executive with The United Group of Companies, a national real estate development ?rm with a diverse portfolio of assets. Jeff developed privately owned, mixed-use student housing for United Group in partnership with New York colleges and universities. During his time at United, Jeff developed $60 million in student housing assets in the New York’s Capital Region, including two newly created neighborhoods credited with expanding economic growth in their respective cities.?

Jeff sits on the board of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, the University of Albany Center for Leadership, and is Chairman of the Board of Troy Prep, a True North Charter School. He is also the founder of “Do the Next Good Thing,” a philanthropic kindness project that has received national media attention.
